XAKTclaim Passes NPI Tier 2 837 Testing Through MACSIS

Powell, Ohio - XAKTsoft, Inc. announced today that XAKTclaim, the company's behavioral health client billing software, is the first software vendor to successfully pass the required National Provider Identifier (NPI) Tier 2 testing process through Ohio's Medicaid (MACSIS) billing offices. XAKTsoft, Inc. will release this newest version of XAKTclaim (version 2.70) to the over 135 agencies using XAKTclaim in the next few weeks, allowing its agencies to submit test files prior to the federal May 2007 deadline.

The National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a 10-digit unique, permanent health provider identifier number used to distinguish individual practitioners or provider organizations in standard electronic health care transactions. The number is intended to simplify exchange of health care data by eliminating the need for health care providers to use different identification numbers when conducting standard transactions with multiple health plans.

XAKTclaim is an integrated scheduling, electronic health record, billing, and reporting software designed specifically for the needs of Ohio's behavioral health agencies. This user-friendly software is currently used by over 135 agencies in Ohio to accurately bill and track all account receivables using all standard billing formats.
